Curaçao Gaming Authority Clarifies Supplier Requirements Under the LOK – What It Means for Operators, Suppliers, and AACASINO Clients
July 1, 2026

The Curaçao Gaming Authority (CGA) has issued an important clarification regarding supplier licensing and registration under the National Ordinance on Games of Chance (LOK). This update provides essential guidance for operators, suppliers, and service providers working within Curaçao’s modernised regulatory framework.
As Curaçao transitions from the old master‑licence system to a fully regulated, government‑controlled model, understanding these requirements is crucial for anyone operating—or planning to operate—under a Curaçao licence.
Local vs. International Supplier Obligations
The CGA has confirmed a key distinction:
Suppliers based in Curaçao
- Must hold a CGA supplier licence
- Must be registered with the CGA
Suppliers based outside Curaçao
- Do NOT need a Curaçao supplier licence
- Must register with the CGA if they provide critical services to Curaçao‑licensed operators
This clarification removes uncertainty for international suppliers and operators who rely on global service providers.
What Counts as a “Critical Service”?
The CGA defines critical services as any essential component required for operating an online gaming platform, including:
- RNG game manufacturers
- Live dealer studios
- Poker & P2P software
- Lottery providers
- Sportsbook engines
- Odds providers
- Bet settlement systems
- Game aggregators
The CGA has stated that this list may expand as the regulatory framework evolves.
Key Compliance Deadlines
The transitional period under the LOK ends on 24 December 2026, and several milestones are important:
- 1 September 2026 – Recommended deadline for Curaçao‑based suppliers to submit licence applications
- October 2026 – Expected opening of CGA supplier registration for both local and international suppliers
