Salamis Filoxenia cruise ship sold to Dubai

An agreement for the sale of "Salamis Filoxenia", in the company Prime Spot Ship Trading, based in the United Arab Emirates, has been signed.
The sale price amounts to US$4,100,000 while a 15% deposit has already been collected. The remaining amount will be collected upon delivery of the ship.
"Salamis Filoxenia" in 2020 and 2021 was permanently docked and did not make cruises due to the pandemic.
The agreement is expected to be completed within February, with the delivery of the ship to the buyers.
The Salamis group, however, intends in due course to evaluate all the parameters, as it states, regarding the possibility of purchasing a new cruise ship.
The profit
According to the announcement, the profit from the sale is estimated at approximately €1,550,000 and results from the difference between the sale price and the net book value of the ship.
